Candy Ai is one of the platforms that people always talk about when it comes to pure user volume, so I tested the site out myself to see if it is worth the hype. After about 2 weeks of testing, mostly at night(wink wink), I can come to a conclusion and present my reviews.
At first, candy felt pretty fast and reliable, generating decent results with basic prompting. For example, if I asked "how was your day?", it would generate a text most similar to how your own gf/bf would text you back, so it was pretty good.
The true issue didn't come until about a week in where I noticed it started forgetting the things I tell it, it would forget my favorite hobbies or what my preferences are, so I had to remind it constantly, which honestly just breaks immersion.
Eventually about 2 to 3 weeks in I grew bored of it and quit, no point in keep talking to a bot that I have to pamper all the time. Compared to other platforms, candy is ok, not the best, not the worst, though you do still have to pay for a subscription for the amount of chatting I was doing, which there are free alternatives that offer the same and better responses.
TLDR:
candy is ok at first, but it isn't very deep and is sometimes forgetful, if you prompt properly you can get decent results, but don't expect chatgpt level of quality.
