Change my mind, janitor ai is the best rp platform there is

Honestly, Janitor AI is basically the GOAT for creative freedom, which is why the bot creators there are on another level compared to everywhere else. I’ve tried all the big names, including Character AI, but that site has been mid ever since they nuked the old version. Most other platforms have such trash character limits that you already know the bots are going to be shallow. Like, I’ll open a bot and it has a tiny four-line intro written in first person that tries to speak for me—hard pass. On Janitor, you can customize everything: lore books, music, and even the CSS of the page so it looks like a totally different site.

Plus, the comment sections actually make it feel like a community. I struggled at first because the UI is a bit much, but once I figured out prompts and proxies, it changed everything. I mostly make high-effort canon characters, usually hitting over 4k tokens to keep them accurate.

AI Friends: are they actually helpful?

I’ve been trying out a few different AI chat apps lately to see if they can actually help when you're feeling stressed or just bored. Some people say they’re great for practicing how to talk to others, while others think they’re just kind of weird.

I spent about a week talking to one called "ChatPal." At first, it was pretty cool because it always replied right away and never got annoyed. It helped me brainstorm some ideas for a school project and even gave me some advice on how to deal with a disagreement I had with a friend. But after a few days, I noticed that it started repeating the same phrases and didn't really "get" my jokes anymore.

it makes me wonder if these bots are actually good for our social skills or if they just make us more lonely.
